BrainCore Neurofeedback

Train Your Brain. Regulate Your Nervous System.

Build a Better Foundation for Wellness.

At The Couples and Family Counseling & Wellness Center, we believe mental and emotional wellness involves more than simply talking about what you're experiencing. The brain and nervous system play an important role in how we respond to stress, process emotions, sleep, focus, and connect with the people around us.

Our BrainCore Neurofeedback Program offers a non-invasive, personalized approach designed to help your brain practice healthier patterns of regulation.

What Is Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback is a form of brain training that uses real-time information about brain activity to provide feedback during a session.

During BrainCore neurofeedback sessions, sensors are used to monitor brainwave activity. The system provides feedback while you participate in a computer-based activity, allowing your brain to receive information about its own activity.

Over time, repeated sessions may help support improved self-regulation and more adaptive patterns of brain activity.

Think of it as a workout for your brain—but instead of building muscle, you're practicing regulation.

Who May Benefit From Neurofeedback?

Neurofeedback may be considered as part of a comprehensive wellness or behavioral health plan for individuals experiencing concerns such as:

  • Stress and difficulty relaxing
  • Sleep difficulties
  • Difficulty with concentration or attention
  • Emotional dysregulation
  • Anxiety-related symptoms
  • Trauma-related symptoms
  • Difficulty managing chronic stress
  • Performance and wellness goals
  • Challenges with nervous-system regulation

Neurofeedback may also be incorporated alongside psychotherapy when clinically appropriate.

A Personalized Approach

No two nervous systems are exactly alike.

Your BrainCore program begins with an individualized assessment and treatment planning process. We consider your goals, symptoms, history, and overall wellness needs when developing your treatment plan.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we focus on understanding your individual patterns and goals.

Neurofeedback + Counseling

One of the unique aspects of our practice is our ability to integrate neurofeedback with psychotherapy.

At The Couples and Family Counseling & Wellness Center, we work with individuals, couples, and families. This allows us to look at wellness from multiple perspectives:

Brain + Body + Emotions + Relationships

For some clients, neurofeedback may be used alongside approaches such as trauma-informed therapy, EMDR, attachment-based therapy, and couples or family therapy.

The goal isn't simply to change brainwave patterns. It is to help support the broader process of developing greater regulation, resilience, and functioning in everyday life.

What Does a Neurofeedback Session Look Like?

Your experience begins with a brief check-in and preparation for the session.

Sensors are placed on the scalp to monitor brain activity. You then participate in a computerized activity while the system provides feedback based on your brain activity.

Sessions are generally comfortable and non-invasive.

Your clinician monitors your response and progress throughout the program and can adjust the treatment approach when clinically appropriate.

What You May Notice

People respond to neurofeedback differently. Some individuals report changes in areas such as relaxation, sleep, focus, or emotional regulation, while others may notice more gradual changes.

Results vary from person to person, and neurofeedback is not a guaranteed treatment or cure for any particular condition.

Why Choose Our Practice?

Clinical Experience

Neurofeedback is offered within an established counseling and wellness practice rather than as a stand-alone technology service.

Whole-Person Perspective

We consider the interaction between neurological regulation, emotional health, relationships, trauma, and everyday functioning.

Personalized Treatment

Your program is developed around your individual needs and goals.

Integrative Care

When appropriate, neurofeedback can be incorporated into a broader therapeutic plan.

A Calm, Private Environment

Our practice provides a comfortable setting where you can focus on your health and wellness journey.

Begin Your Brain Wellness Journey

You don't have to wait until life feels completely overwhelming before you begin investing in your mental and neurological wellness.

Whether you're looking for support with stress and regulation, hoping to improve focus and sleep, or exploring neurofeedback as part of a broader therapeutic plan, we're here to help you determine whether this approach may be appropriate for you.

Neurofeedback is not appropriate for everyone and does not guarantee specific results. Treatment recommendations are individualized. Neurofeedback should not be considered a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care.
